Depends on the size of the monitor really; I was used to 1024x768 on my old 19" monitor, and 1152x768 on a 21" monitor produces roughly the same text size.

Anyway, my vision sucks. (not sure about the eye numbers but the glasses are rated at 7.5/8.25 )
