Driver 93.71 - no videos?
I update my drivers to 93.71 and now I don't get video on the cutscenes - only audio. I do have X -vid? and it was working okay before. I went back to my old driver and it's fine, but what would cause that? Someday I'll want to update my drivers and it may happen again. I'm using Vers 3.6.9 .

It might help if you actually said what videocard your drivers are for...
What are your system specs?

My cutscenes work in OpenGL but not D3D, so try switching 2 openGL especially if u r using an nvidia grpahics card

Ditch the avi cutscenes and get the MVE ones.

why would an SCP error be considered as news? :wtf: *smacks Cobra*It's a feature.

Re: Driver 93.71 - no videos?
Really? Do I have to convert them or do I just replace the old cutscene files?

When did things switch from using the avi files to mve? When I originally downloaded the game, all you could (I thought) were the avi's? I got it off HOTU

An in-game MVE player was added a while back.  3.6.9 has a new Theora movie player too, which works far better than the AVI support, and is cross-platform.  The original MVE movies are going to be converted to Theora as well, since it allows for a considerably smaller file size.  As the file size of the MVEs has largely been the excuse for people to continue to use the AVIs, having Theora support will easily remedy that.

Post-3.6.9 builds will have all AVI support removed, so it won't even be an option in another month.  The 3.6.9 release (which should be this weekend) will be the last with AVI support.  The only options will then be MVE or Theora.
