not in that extent, no. i used both BitLord and Azureus in the past, and both crapped out with download speeds and resource hogginess, so i switched to uTorrent, i was at first wtf, 168kb? no ****ing way. in the end i was hooked

Now, whats the difference between the standalone utorrent and the utorrent installer? its not in their FAQ.

The installer makes some links in your start menu and a desktop shortcut I think.

I use the standalone though, since I'm stuck in the simple days of DOS and don't like to make registry entries if I don't have to. Either one is good.

Azureus is good but it's also a resource hog :/ I use it because I cannot be arsed to change it

I don't care about the resource usage. When I'm doing something big, like playing, I really cannot spare any resources on torrent downloading, or firewall or virus guard or anything. I'm not even online when I'm playing something my computer only barely handels. And there are lots of games my computer only barely handles. You see it's an overclocked piece of crap that tends to overheat a lot. So only time I tend to run Azureus is when I'm sleeping or surfing.

But I'm not a real number jerker. Azureus and Space Rangers can run on my poor old rig simultaneously and that's good enough for me.

BitComet. Allthough I do have tried uTorrent and agreed that it is powerfull I still went back using BitComet. They're both good.

No.

Some people have mentioned that µTorrent may take a bit longer to get up to speed, but this behavior is anecdotal,  incidental and immaterial.

Both Azureus and µTorrent will download to the maximum capacity of your connection, assuming the torrent is well seeded.
