Guys, I ask for some advice..

AS you know, Chapter 1 of Flames of War is over and I'm slowly starting work on Chapter 3.
It's set after Capella (about 20-25 years in the future)

I have allmost all terran ships done (HTL Phoenix, Armageddon and Claymore left to go)


I could use:
shivan ships
 - currently using SB Vindyachal

vasudan ships
 - currently using GVF Reshef

hol ships (vasudan/shivan hybrids)


suggest some you thing are good

And what about chapter 2? For shivan ships, there are some interesting ones on that Hammer Falls on Into to the Depths of Hell, a new corvette, a stealth ship and a really cool carrier, the Shiamak. For the Vasudans there's a new interceptor on the same place.

Story wise, Chapter 2 is the least interesting for me to do...it's all about pirate wars and stuff... I can post a brief synopsis of what chapter 2 should have been like if anyone is interested..LOL

Shivans could use that RBC on HC. I like that one. And a new transport too, the Azrael sux. They should have a super-heavy fighter to counter the Ares, and a fighter to counter the Erinyes. If I want more ships in a mod I usually go for 'counter' ships. I have this for one of the mods I (was) working on.

I never really liked the "counter balancing of everything"... makes the sides feel TOO evened out, too much the same.
It would work well if I were to make 2 sides that knoweachother very well (like USA and Russia for instance)...but for 2 space-faring races, that developed separately millions of lightyears apart - for them to have teh same ship classes and weapon types???

 I rather prefer to give each side something specific

  You have two "advance" destroyers. The one with the Hades and Lucifer should be "super" destroyer. (optional, but more correct)

  IIRC the Serapis was  a superiority fighter

  the Loki was a heavy Recon fighter

  The Colossus was both Terran and Vasudan, as well as the meson bomb.

  I'm not sure if the Zeus was an assult bomber, but I don't know for sure.

There actually are Vasudan/Shivan hybrids out there.

Download a campaign called "Technological Superiority", which contains the Anya and another ship that begins with 'A'. 

Be warned: they are little more than reskins + hacked tables.

TrashMan, you could create something the Terran species has while the others not. Your Terran installations are beautiful, why not creating some V and S ones? The same is for the drydock(but I think that the Shivans don't use drydocks, at least in contested systems).

1) I may change the advance to super, but I wanted to keep designations more uniform.
2) The Serapis is an 'Advanced Interceptor' in the tables actually. Shu fills Superiority now.
3) True, but the Terrans needed an old interceptor. I may actually add back in the Valk, put in the Septu from INFA and the Shivan Hydra.
4) Hybrids don't matter really, this wasn't supposed to be that way, it's just who mainly used it. Colossus had a terran persona, Meson thing is TC-MB not VC-MB (or TVC-Mb)
5) True, actually, I'll change the Zeus to Strike Bomber

Also, don't go looking around for the Kemwer, it sucks and it is called Nsomething in one of Aldo's modeldumps. Place holder. Crappy one at that too.

Oh, and Trashy, sorry for stealing your thread. But you could use these ships for recommendations, specially the Shu. the Heset, the Hedetet and the Tanen. they rock cock.

The problem isn't the words "Advanced Destroyer", it's the fact that you've got two different rows that both say "Advanced Destroyer" (one below standard destroyer, the other below medium destroyer. One of them should be changed, or at least they should be next to each other.

I think I'll leave the battlesihp a alliance only thing. Shivans won't have one. But I'm probably gonna give them a super-uber-carrier of a sort. And a uber-huge asteroid installation..

Now that you mention itm I really should bring that old GVI Abthys installation up to HTL standards

WEll you could give the terrans something they have always been good at a ships wich can actualy overload its guns without exploding. A devent friggate class and some more advance versions of the Deimos.

And the shyvans well they just fine this way but to be fait give them another destroyer similar to the ravana in terms of forward firepower just some more aaf coverage noit to much though. And the fisgh guis some more ofensive orientated ships and more hp. Vasudan ships tend to have more hp and more offensive firepower while terrnas conce ntrate more on carrier abilaty and C&C !

Whoops, I was being stupid. It was never named, not Gungnir. It was actually called Mjolnir itself. But then the concept was changed.
