Refactoring versus accounting
I would like to call the general public's attention to these two words:

deprecate (transitive verb) - to express disapproval of; to discontinue

depreciate (intransitive verb) - to reduce in value over time

This has been a general pet peeve of mine for awhile now, but lately I've been noticing two coders confusing the words as well.  Consider yourselves informed. :p

Re: Refactoring versus accounting
I don't actually confuse them, I just like using depreciate better, regardless of the meaning. ;)

I'll try and remember to do it right, for your sake, from now on though.  :P

Re: Refactoring versus accounting
Though I deprecate overt grammar inquisition, I appreciate your effort to hinder the overt depreciation of the English language.

I used to use the wrong word occasionally but I checked up and started using the right one a couple of weeks back :D

Don't make me encapsulate your polymorphism within a privately-defined class. :p
