56ks are VERY bad if u are used to cable...
Probably just got sick of it and did stuff offline.....

He moved to Zephyrhills, FL right? Then he probably doesn't have access to anything faster. Zephyrhills isn't exactly a big city. Most of FL is either big city or country. But then again they've got that big bottled water company, so maybe they could get some fast connections.

Hmm... slow connections, cutting phone lines... sounds like with a slower connection it would take him longer to be online, and with only a modem and probably only one phone line... that would mean tying up the phone line for a long time... which can equal getting a parent pretty pissed off.
