The bottom left hand corner medal, in the medal box. What is it and how do I earn it? It's the onlt medal I'm missing, (apart from being an admiral or whatever). So what is it and how do I get it!

Ahhh, the Meritorious Unit Commendation! I figured it might be that mission (Exodus) as I have yet to either protect both the Lambdas or protect the Sulla. Each time I play it either one of the Lambdas goes down or the Sulla  Ah well, I'll do it one of these days, and reach the rank of Admiral!

That's on the mission called "Proving Grounds" (SM2-03) Where you have to escort the Galatea (through the asteroid field IIRC). Keep her Hitpoints above 50 to achieve that medal.

The mission is right, but you have to defend the Aquitaine against the SCv Tiamat in the nebula. If you destroy it, you get the medal.

Uhm... I remember that when I first played FS2 (in 1999, so I can't remember correctly) I didn't destroy the Tiamat, but the Aquitaine escaped with low hull damage (it was on Very Easy ). In the debriefing, it said that I could have destroyed the Tiamat if I had given the Aqui enough sensor cover to hit the corvette blah blah blah. IIRC, I didn't get the medal.

I just looked in FRED. You're right, the medal is given if the Aqui's hull is above 50%. This means I mistook it for another medal...

In the debriefing, it said that I could have destroyed the Tiamat if I had given the Aqui enough sensor cover to hit the corvette blah blah blah. IIRC, I didn't get the medal.

Actually, you don't have to destroy the Tiamat to get the medal, you just have to keep the Aquitaine's hitpoints above 50 (I know because I got it without killing the Tiamat on Insane once, and haven't been able to get the medal on that difficulty since).
