Here we go, 3.6.9 build Turey's install plus some extra camps\mods.Something happened and don't know what.Everything worked great then this CRASH,Checked all the other boards for a solution. Inferno{ Both of them ]got the Inferno bug,got the S:AH problem,but here's new ones Shrouding The light, The enhanced Demo,Sync, I already read about the ITDoH bug. The others[Fsport,awakenings,DEM] won't even go past the pilot screen.  Now everything worked then this came up and now nothing works

When did you get 3.6.9?

Bout three days ago .my house mate set up my pc to the cable connection and we got yours, the one I put to cd was Huggy's and  my nephew got that one. I've never heard of "Malloc "either .

Are you using anything much more memory intensive that you weren't using before?

Nope,As I said it was working great and then Ndiv 128 graphics card, Hell other than work crap: word and excel, FreeSpace is all I have on it.I'm not even on mine now.And I don't run open very high anyway.Just ajust my virtual mem higher and Deirlect seems to be working ?[but for how long]

Try updating with Turey's installer, but get just the core files.

Or, you could try saving your player files, then reinstalling completely...

That's the quickest way I can think of to try and get it working again. Sounds like some serious corruption in some common, critical file, especially since it happens in all those different mods.

Ok...I went around the net looking for What could be the problem.Vid drivers fine ,Memtested fine, virus \spy crap scanned fine,double checked some files with older back-up [what I could understand seems ok],updater did nothing, but INF:A runs ?Maybe I dumb or something but whats the big difference between 3.6.9dot whatever ,oh 9 and final ,other than some peeps are having problems?[Not bad mouthing i just don't know] .Or is it cause i have mixed camps; like one was buildt for 3.6 and another is 3.6.9 final and if so wouldn't it be backward compatable

Post screen shots of your FreeSpace2 folder, your data\tables folder, and the contents of launcher6.ini.

As Ghostavo said, an error with malloc implies memory problems. How much RAM and virtual memory do you have?

Spicious, 512ram,virtual page 785mb read my other posts Plz everything was fine runs the build before this one which I'm going back to the only difference for me is MS Sam use oh and these f**king problems[

Have you tried switching it off or increasing your swap file size?
