Proper volume settings for sound files?
I'm really confused here. I've slapped in the interface sounds from FS1 into the FSPort, but for some reason the sounds seem to be at half volume. I've upped the file's volume via GoldWave, but that doesn't seem to have worked. Anything I'm missing here?

i noticed that too, the mainhall seems to ignore any volume settings from the os. but once you get in game it uses them. only other audio problem ive found is the shcokwave sound is so much louder than everything else and causes some clipping in the bass. might just be my subwoofer is a little old but i dont remember shockwaves being that loud, no more than the large beam cannons.

I just found out that the .wav files are 4 bit. That might be my problem.
