A gattling gun usually fires at 6000RPM's. Slower ones reach 3000, and hte fastest one I know is said to fire at 240000RPM's.

ah yes, the metal storm. if i recall the pistol can fire off 3 shots before any recoil is felt. and about that gateling gun, according to your figures 184,320,000 RPM = pure pwnage

Through radiation, yes... but not through contact with coolant (air).  You'd have to have a liquid cooling system, I think.
