Ogg Movies from Freespace 1
Are there any Ogg movies from Freespace 1 to use with SCP, or am I just blind? Honestly I think the movies from Freespace one are better than FS2's, especially the intro sequence.

If not, do you plan on converting them? Sorry if this is a old/stupid question.

they exist. They come with this.

Though you can just use the .mve movies off the FS1 retail disks as well.

Unless you use Linux... in which case you're screwed until Taylor (or somone) finds the time to get 3.6.9 up and running.

Re: Ogg Movies from Freespace 1
IIRC, the intro cutscene is labelled FS1Intro.ogg, which the game may not read, since its looking for intro.(whatever).

Thanks for the links all! Downloading the pack now.

IIRC, the intro cutscene is labelled FS1Intro.ogg, which the game may not read, since its looking for intro.(whatever).

I can always open it separately, but wouldn't it be possible to open the first mission in fred and make it play the intro?

Re: Ogg Movies from Freespace 1
No, the game is hard-coded to look for a file named "intro."  Just re-name it to intro.ogg, and it'll play fine.

Re: Ogg Movies from Freespace 1
I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but where do you put these files once you've downloaded them? I guess into the same directory as the fs1 mod?

Re: Ogg Movies from Freespace 1
The cutscene files can either go right in your fsport directory or in the path fsport/data/movies (you might need to create the relevant folders).
