HW2 is coming out this year!
I quit the HW community because the forums were crap (over-moderated) and the single-player campaign in the game wasn't that moddable, but this might make me go back!

I was BANNED for simply posting (ironically) "Please don't ban me," multiple times at the bottom of a legitimate post that was related to the thread, and it's not the first time stuff like this happened.
After coming back to the board I posted a topic asking about any recent events. It was locked.
I just dislike the way they moderate.
And I know a long, long time ago, a lot of people felt the same way ( I was in the Relic forums since the first or second parts of the Relic board movie, I just never posted).
P.S. Where can I find the HW to Macross conversion?

They dont have anything to show yet (or want to show)...
Its still in early development from what I hear..

Yup... lol... they had a mailing thing before, I never signed up for it though.

All they got on another site is a poster type pic.

And wasn't there already a HomeWorld 2? Cataclysm or summat?

No, Cataclysm is a side story in the HW universe. Its basically a standalone expansion.

They're creating a sense of suspense!

Think of it this way- it's better than the other way around. I remember when TopWare released a whole pile of development pics of Earth 3, then gave up on making the actual GAME.

Suspense is one thing, but this is ridiculous.  I remember when there was that countdown on the page.... I was expecting a new site when it reached zero.  What did it have?  Nada.  Nothing.  Jack **** .  Except the 'register' button.  

Secrecy can definately help the hype, but too much secrecy kills it.  Why not have some concept art?  Something to look at?  Anything except a single stupid logo.

That (the official) logo really raises questions about the game I'd rather not have about any game...

But yeah, lack of solid info means either they have eminently crappy stuff they're afraid will scare off buyers, or that they really don't have much to show at the moment... HW ships are nadie without the textures anyhow, even if they are slightly less of an eyesore, and texturing ships wouyld probably be one of the last things they do...

? I though HW was about alien species? Do they look human, or HW2 is about humans poping out to bring joy and happiness to the HW world (irony, obviously)?

They dont really say what they are, but from the cutscenes, they look human..
And the fact that "Hiigara" looks like Earth, and has a moon that looks similar to ours...
