Huh? And what should it be? If anything, it's jpgs that create pixel arifacts and the like, unless you set it to a high quality. gifs are only bad (potentially) for colour, not pixel data.

Unfortunately this seems to be a rare view, and reviewers always seem to concentrate on the visuals with barely paragraphs given to the rest, so nowonder nobody wastes time on things like gameplay and atmosphere and story
