I put in some voices from Battlezone and FS2 into the game; I think there are quite a few people using those nowadays. They include the following:

Battlezone:
"Enemy Eliminated!"
"Another is crushed!"
"Another has died!"
"Target destroyed!"

Freespace 1/2:
"Direct hit! He's down for the count!"
"I'm going down! I'm going down!"
"Noooo!"
"Arghh!" (vasudan)
"Vuw-juw!!" (vasudan)

No.  You do much more than fly around looking for keys and blowing up reactors.

Starwing's right, this is the OT forum... but people say we need an OT forum, and an art forum, think of how this poor Hard Light Forum feels!
