Yeah, I know about that - but seeing all the other inconsistencies in that intro, I tend to ignore it. The cbanis from FS1 are much more reliable (and don't use the hideously low detail in-game model).

Edit: As to the shields question, no. I carefully considered adding a shield mesh in the way that DTP once did for the original, but decided against it because it's effectively doubling the number of collision checks the game would have to do.
The surface shields feature of the SCP was originally designed with the Lucifer in mind, though it's not quite complete yet. Goob is looking into getting it to display a shield impact effect when the surface shields take damage. As is, it just does the damage to the shield rather than the hull, which is kinda useless when we have special hitpoints.
