Not sure if this is a function of getting older or just the crappy situation that I'm in right now but each year I'm more desensitized to the whole thing. I'm slowly realizing how bitter I really am about dating, valentines day, love, and all that stuff. I know it works out for a few people...I've got two friends getting married next year and I'm completely happy for them as they seem to make a good team but so many more couples I see and its a bad situation that seems to just survive anyways.

It's just a matter of finding the right person. I've found it's more a matter of luck than anything else. Stop looking, stop feeling bitter (easier said than done, I know), stop worrying. You might just bump into the right person and not even know it.

Yeah the right person is definitely what I'm hoping will happen. But in the mean time there are quite a few wrong persons and people just love to push you on this subject about happiness and all that and I feel completely detached now. Even being bitter is fading...I just want nothing to do with it right now.

Ah, that feeling just always made me look harder. I would say to stay detatched, but just keep looking. You cant find anything if you dont look. Ive been looking for quite a few years now and it has finally paid off... Just dont lose hope. Youll be surprised what things can come up.

Finding the wrong person can actually be a good thing. Now you know one more kind of person you don't want to be with. Cold comfort, but comfort none the less.

One time my mom said "sometimes you have to go through a couple that are the wrong person for you so that you'll know it when the right person comes along." I think she was just trying to make me feel better or something though.
