Is it possible to replace the lighting on a heavily damaged ship with random smoke trails ani, as if the ship is on fire? i got the idea from watching the Babylon 5 episode servered dreams, were the churchill is badly damaged and is on fire? i think it would be cool to see instead of the lighting, or should this be in the SCP forum as i am unsure if this is a coding matter or if it can be done through modding the tbls.

Hm...there some smoke effect but mostly on fighters.. You can see it on capships but only after you hit it with something powerfull and then it goes away..

Multiple effects like that all over the hull might do the trick.
