Shivan Megafunk gun?

I've seen this in the tables for the Demon-class destroyer, but what does it actually do? I haven't seen the Eva fire anything different from just normal turret lasers.

Its the Shivan equivalent of the Terran Huge Gun in the tables.  Better I think.

In terms of actually doing damage it's the best in game
