The fact is that Mac, if they continue on their current course will continue to dominate a tiny percent of the market, that tiny percent will consider everyone else as 'sheep', the large percentage of the market will think of Mac owners as 'Elitist'.
Thing is Microsoft's advertising far surpasses Macs, why is this?
Because Mac are saying 'If you're clever, you'll buy a Mac.'
MS are saying 'If you just want to be able to use a computer, buy a PC.'
Let's face it, a good 90% of computers in the world aren't being pushed to within 10% of their full abilities most of the time. People just want to be able to switch on and go, there always seems to be some fiddling around with drivers on a Mac before you start using things like Midi ports or Firewire. In the case of Midi ports, you seem to have to set them up every time you turn on the damn computer.
Experienced users can find MS's autoconfigure routines a pain in the arse, I'll freely admit, it drives me up the wall on occasion, but for a newer user, or someone who is working to a time limit, you want to do as little set-up as possible and just dive on in. MS usually wins hands down in that department.
