I saw somewhere on here that somebody thought it'd be cool to put all these mods in one place... Well, I'm kinda thinkin' about it.  But, the thing is, I can't decide if it'd be like tryin' to "compete" (since I can't think of a better word) with Hard Light.  I like this site too much to try to go against it.  Anyways, what I'm thinkin' is that I can have Freespace, (1 & 2) Independence War, (1, 2, and Defiance) Homeworld, and maybe one other.  But, if it's gonna be like be like competing with HLP, I'm not gonna do it.  So, I just want your opinions.  It would be probably strictly MODs.  I'm placing this in the Freespace Modding forum and I-War 2 forums, as well, to get opinions.

Hardlight (the community) is more than just the HLP webpage anyway. Its the website and the forums and affiliated sites like The Array (soon to be vastly upgraded, I understand). Communities spill past webpage boundries.

Put together a mod oriented server. I'm sure we'll all go there to download archived mods, and come to the Forums here to discuss them, and go to the Array to look at the pretty pictures (we do, honest, Setekh!) of the ships in them.

Its not competition, its community extension.

If you have FS and IW, you're already covering a lot of our subject material - if you think you have something new, I'd also not like it if we had to compete with you...  

The alternative I'm seeing is for you to become a staffer here to bolster the content, which would always be great, if you're active and can contribute something to us. Whatcha think? Maybe we should continue this over email.
