modding/mediavps priority question
Hey all, basically I'm trying to get a graphic mod to work (VA's beams) in the mediavp directory...basically this is so I don't have to load it in a separate directory ...so that I can play a campaign mod with his beams...

anyway, everything works fine if I make a moddir/data/ and the appropriate folders.

If I put his dds in mediavps/data/effects and his .tbm into mediavps/data/tables, it has no effect whatsoever.

I thought that putting files manually into those folders overrides the mediavps in the base mediavps folder. Obviously, not the case. Help would be much appreciated :)

Re: modding/mediavps priority question

Welcome to the HLPBB.

I have limited knowledge about this kind of things, but listen my suggestions if you want...

create another folder, place the effects there(or place a VP with the effects).

When you specify the names of the mods you use(mod.ini file), be sure that the name of the folder you have created comes before "mediavps".
