What was the SD-4?!?!?!?
i was looking at some of the original screenshots of FS2, released right after the game. almost all of them have, in the primary thingy (in the hud, you know, on the bottom right) something called the SD-4 sidearm. what the heck is it? i dont see it in the tbls, fred, anywere. was it pherhaps fully taken out, unlike the targetting beam?

Sig nuked! New one coming soon!

Re: What was the SD-4?!?!?!?

Subach HL-7.  In the Beta days it had more in common with the ML-16 from Descent: FreeSpace.

Just some ML-16 thingy they were going to show in a FS1 cutscene that got cut due to lack of time.

Re: What was the SD-4?!?!?!?
It was the Subach. Look at the animation. The Akheton's original name was the Scaplel. (BTW, does SDG stand for Subsystem Disruptor Gun?)

Yeah, I found that out a while ago too. I suppose the Volition dudes figured the release names were better than the beta names or something.

Also, Titan, kid, ease up on the exclamations and question marks, will ya? Makes you look stupid. ;)
