Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion Questions.
This is really quite a spolier IMO but since you asked. After he saw that it wasnt Adam that was in the underground of the base but it was actually Lilith, he realises there's no point in what he was doing and asks Shinji to kill (''liberate'' him perhaps?) him, Shinji, of course, objects but after a long pause (one of the best moments of the whole series IMO), complies.

I'd like to forget that that episode exists, personally. Completely screwed with everything that had been done with the characters. Fortunately 25 was brilliant.

Maybe your right on this one, mostly I couldent understand episode 25&26, and End of Evangelion is the series ending i've seen in a year(ish).  I understand the first-half, but it makes so little sense after that Gordon Freeman would have an embolism. Also, Shinji jerkin off over asuka    I never needed to know that...

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion Questions.
You can't watch NGE because you live in Utah?

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion Questions.
I managed to understand episode 25/26 after watching them twice and I consider it to be a better ending to the series than the movie, to me it just seems that they had to make the movie because people couldnt get the original ending, they had to ''dumb it down'' (no offense if any of you didnt get the original one :nervous:).

Yep, I cant seem to fine in abound here(I guess I can try to look at blockbuster, but that wont end too well for the disks)
Besides, Sarafan, I don't really remember the eps 25&26, other than the fact it was mostly Shinji Confronting his demons(so to speak)  Thats all I remember.

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion Questions.
Hm, well. I'm not your mom, but I do think 14 is just a little too young for NGE, especially the movie :ick:. There aren't many works of fiction that have truly disturbed me, but EoE is one of them.

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion Questions.
You do need to realize that Anno basically threw out the entire plot for the last two episodes, which was absolutely the right thing to do, because left him free to concentrate on breaking down the constant self-deception of the main characters, which what made the show worth watching.

Eoe is kind of ****ed up, indeed.  Um, the whole, movie, but the ones that stand out for me the Most is the JSSDF takeover and the Shinji Master of his bating scene with Asuka.
Also, Mr. Vega, thanks for the other perspective on the last eps.  Just asking, does your name come from Pulp Fiction?
