That's the normal FRED. Just use numpad to move the point of view

That's the same one. See the "View" menu in the top left and tick some options there...

Considering that I've just seen a post about making the beams work from you I'm reminded of a comment about glass houses and throwing stones.

And glass houses remind me of Red Faction.

And here I thought the post was about some new version of FRED with a radically altered interface and usage method... something like X3's in-game universe builder, but with a mouse, FRED numpad movement controls and right-click popup menus. But Alpha 1 stays as a ghost, like he/she always does when in FRED playing god... LOL
