Here is the probelm: FS1, FS2, and the babylon project will not run.  Crashes when playing those little vids like com messages in the game, opening menu in FS2, tech room and so on. How to fix???


using Window XP sp2, AMD athlon 64 3800 x2, ati radeon X800pro 256mb ram catalyst verson 6.11.

Please give us more informations about the mods you're using, if thee are any. are you using the FSPort, for example?

No mods that i know of just standard game only can't even get 1 sec into a mission before crash.

In both FS1 and 2 most times can't even navigate to get to a mission, crashes before i enter the breifing room

Are we talking SCP, or Retail?

i have retail copies of both.

If you wish to use retail, right-click on the shortcut to the Launcher (for both FS1 and FS2), hit Properties, go to "Compatibility", check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 98/Me", hit ok until you close the dialog boxes.

However, I'd recommend using one of the links in my siggy (I recommend Turey's installer) to get the Source Code Project running.  SCP provides much better graphics for both FS1 and FS2 (and Silent Threat, and all the other mods created over the years...).
