Ship texture location/pcx file converter
I was making my first FS2 open mission, and I wanted to do some ship nameplates. The only problem is, I don't know where the ship textures are. I use FS2 Open 3.6.9. If anyone knows, please tell me. I really want to do these nameplates. By the way, does anyone know an programs that can convert a jpg or bitmap to a pcx file, because I need some new squad images, and i have no idea how to make a pcx image, or to convert a file to pcx.

The GIMP is an (free) art program that can convert to PCX.

As for the textures, they can be found in the Maps section of the Sparky and Sparky_hi retail VP's, or if you're using FSO, the mv_textures MediaVP.

Re: Ship texture location/pcx file converter
Thanks, I actually just downloaded GIMP. But now I have more problems...
First, is there any specific resolution squad images have to be at or a certain directory they need to be in?
Second, how do I open the .vp files? I'm assuming that they are some type of compressed file archive, but WINRAR nor WINZIP will open it. Is there a program on the internet that can open it?
Well that's it, for now......

Clicky the linky!

Look for VPView 2.0. That can open Vp's.

Many thanks. Now I will RULE THE WORLD!!!, though I should probably just start small and finish my mission first. Once again, thank you.
