I think running Vista IS your problem!

Seriously, it might be. The version of tS in question - IIRC - is version 3. It's pretty old (hence free) but this age might make it incompatible with the new coding in Vista.

Truespace isn't very good anyway. Try Blender or gmax, they're both free.

trueSpace 5+ is pretty decent. Very intuitive and fairly easy to use. It's what I use to model and I've done some fairly nice things in my opinion.

Bear in mind the latest version TS retails for a couple of hundred dollars where max is, uh, more than that.
Also, Caligari use to put up of special offers for people upgarding from earlier versions.
GMAX could have ruled the world but I don't think Discreet where that interested in it.

(I should imagine my info is around 18months old as I haven't been paying attention much untill recently).

Arrgh i configured Gmax to compatability mode its fixed, is there any tutorials out there.
