Well to be honest, I have the forum open while I'm at work, 7 hours a day, 5 days a week and check it once in a while for new posts or new replies every once in a while, it still just sits there while I get on with other things. So while I'm logged in most of the time, I'm not actually active.

But I keep the auto-registration on and sometimes the browser is left with a forum tab open for night to, for example, download something else, and every time the page auto-refreshes it logs me in as well.

Although I tend to just refresh the topic listings at regular intervals, often without spending much time reading posts in between. I believe the forum assumes you are still online for 15 minutes after your last actual activity. That, and my brother lurks on the forum with my account logged in.
