That's really funny. My best friend actually ran in front of a truck. That experience is one of the biggest reasons that keep me from doing the same...
Funny ha-ha, or funny strange? I can't really get a handle on what you mean by that that, and it's making it really hard to gauge the rest of your post.

I think I got it.

I think it's just because I haven't been playing enough computer. You see, yesterday I remembered that I had a copy of Operation Flashpoint, and I started playing that. And now I'm not sad anymore!

Come to think of it, that is rather sad in itself. Oh well. I'll live, even if I am that fixated on playing games :drevil: .

Hows the weather out there? You know that it can severely influence a peersons mood.

Good point, I am very influenced by atmosphere in general.

Suicide of a friend is generally considered to be not funny. However considering some of the characters who occasionally shine upon these boards, your point is a valid one. I have now taken steps to prevent any further misinterpretation

Yeah. See, it just sorta looked like you were about to launch into a funny anecdote. I know that sounds morbid given you were talking about a friend that killed himself, but that's just how I read it.

whos being funny? ive wracked up more attempted suicides that anyone else on the boards. ive come to the conclusion that im not too good at self destruction. so i focus my destructive energies on society as a whole. am i really crazy? well thats how my psyche profile reads. but i think everyone is crazy theese days, as if its become trendy.
I can no longer sit back and allow communist infiltration, communist indoctrination, communist subversion, and the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Maybe not the most selfish, but certainly the most stupid.

No, there are far stupider things one can do with one's life. Moreover, suicide is the most selfish thing a person can do, although under certain circumstances it can be both prudent and honorable.

Suicide is just like any other course of action. Under different circumstances it has different meanings, and there are different motivations (selfish and unselfish) that someone might have for it.

What you're implying is that somebody can kill and rape and steal from as many people as they like, just for the fun of it, and they still won't be as selfish as someone who chooses to kill themselves.

Even if the suicidal person was 82, had lived a full life, and was facing a terminal illness with medical bills that would bankrupt the rest of their family.

I apologize for my generalized comment. What I mean was people who have families, things to live for, the people they would leave behind scarred because of the suicide the person committed.

*emo picture*

Oh, so true.  It's so fun watching those emo types especially when you live in somewhere like this where there's essentially no such thing as a truly bad household.

Same goes for the white kids who think they're "ghetto."
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Having to worry about school, career and money to even maintain ones place and status in modern day society can cause havoc on certain kind of personalities. Take a person who is shy, has no ambitions and is not competitive. He has to struggle like hell against more aggressive people in order to get a decent job, home and a family - The only things he ever wanted from life. Moder "civilized" society is demanding. Not everyone is cheerful, smart and productive. But that doesn't mean they are lesser as people. Not does it mean that they automatically think life has someway wronged them (unless ofcourse they specifically say so).

People who whine about everything are a pain. People who think they are better than some other people are a pain. People who feel lost and are drifting without a clear idea how to proceed often feel pain. The two first are not helpful when the third is trying to push forward.

Some "emo" people are genuinely stressed and mentally troubled. Some are just plain jerks. Please remember that.
