Is the possible to command the giant GTVA collusus or some other covverate?

I would like to do this during the game, instead of wasteing my time shooting the shivans, just ram into them!

Is there any way i could do this?

It's certainly possible, but as you take damage to turrets and whatnot your damage box fills up.

There's a hardcoded limit to the number of broken subsystems that can be displayed, and once that limit is reached, the game crashes to desktop.

Small cruisers you can get away with, but the GTVA Colossus is asking for trouble.

Plus, in an action-oriented game like FS2, it's just asking for hours of boredom as it's your turrets shooting things, not you.

Why does everyone want to do this? I mean...Freespace 2 is about fighters, yet everyone always wants to turn it into Freelancer with capital ships.

Anyway, I still stand by my suggestion that someone should mod Bridge Commander and put in Freespace 2 ships.

Because it's a fun game and people like it, but they want to do something new, but with the same thing they love.

Tryiong to find the installer to install the full version that i dl'ed from hades, if i can't do that, ill go with HUTO(i think the link in the download page on this site is broken though)

Anyway, is it possible to command a small cruiser with just the demo? even if its a shivan one?

And I don't think you can use a cruiser with the demo. If I remember well, you can use a warship only with hacked tables.

There was a mission that allowed you to fly a cap ship, I can't remember what it was though.

ah yes, that was quite fun. one question though, how the hell can a support ship re-arm a deimos class? try it, it works.
