Re: ship size bounding box camera prob...
It will be just a simple problem with your table entry. At the bottom of the list somewhere, you should find:
$Closeup_pos: 0.0, 0.0, -317
$Closeup_zoom: 0.7

Your ones will probably be like above; fairly large. The quickest method is to look at the table entry of a similar size ship from FS and copy the two values it used, for example the Erinyes:
$Closeup_pos: 0.0, 0.0, -30
$Closeup_zoom: 0.5

Try those values and see if it's still too far away or too close in the tech room and in the target box in-game, and fiddle with the values as appropriate. :)

Re: ship size bounding box camera prob...
Ew tks for this help about tables ship.tbl my probleme dont come from tables i try to change a existing ship in a game the aurora from TBP at this time i just creat new directory in data floder and my ship use directly the tables from the old one.
$Closeup_pos: 0.0, 0.0, -30
$Closeup_zoom: 0.5
is only for tech room but not in game.

nothing to change external view in game anyway my prob dont come from tables.

Re: ship size bounding box camera prob...
Oh hang on - if you're using the 3DS Max POF exporter, then it sounds like it's just messed up the radius data. (Known problem)

If you target the ship in the game, you should see the 4 targeting brackets appear around it. Do they appear about the right size, or are they way too big?

Admiral.

>>then it sounds like it's just messed up the radius data. (Known problem)<<
if u know where is this radius data i like to know where i can change it becose POF exporter is no way.

I have try all i can do during 2 day to find this probleme before send anything.

now im bored i have import in max the actual model in game on max, ship got exactly same size of mine but the Dimensions for mine is X>14.8 Y>9.443 Z>7.179 Dimensions from actual in game is X>5.496 Y>7.942 Z>4.243

can see something on this Dimensions in max X is inverted with Y on this another ship.

after this all i have try again to scale my ship with X-form with rescale world unit's with ALL.

finaly i tryed to export my ship in 3DS or DXF file in TrueSpace 7 to export in COD to see size result no way becose my ship got some open part so when i try to covert it in POFconstructorSuite i read something like unattached elements.

i know nothing in TS 7 so cant export it correctly from TS7.

After this all i finaly export again my ship in TS7 on a DXF file to 3DSmax again i see something wonderfull if i rotate ship before exporting the X & Y is interverted and ship got NEW Dimensions like the actual fury in game.
BUT my imported ship from TS7 is 2x smaller than the old one in max with same Dimensions From this come the prob...

when i import ship in POF-CS the ship size is same on the another one the probleme is the Mass and the BSP size they is completly wrong my ship got like 500.000 on Mass the old one 117.000 mean ship is X4 biger but the model in game have same size.

It is simple cant export a ship from max or is wrong or is probably becose i dont creat a new ship but becose i try to simply replace a existhing in game ship.

the camera in game lock the center axis of ship and a BOX size. My prob is the camera lock a BOX out on the model range i can scale my ship in anyway camera will ever hold same view becose is lock on the unvisible box.

its simply a inner 3DSmax size when u export to POF the ship will directly got a wrong size POFexport take the Dimmensions ship for the real size but not the modeling. now if someone know the probleme or if is absolutly need to export model in TS7 to have good size ask me tks.

If need i send my max file.

for now i send a pic all of the 2 ship model have exactly same modeling size & the camera is on max zoom range from ship on mine is really to far.

i got head sick with this thing.
