Hello. I was searching around for freespace and stumbled on this site. I think I will hang out for a while:). I am really new I am still downloading the game. I want to ask if you are able to play on multiplayer online servers? Thanks...

Yes. Check This FAQ on game-warden.com for step by step instructions for setting up the game for multiplayer. Since you're already downloading the game, skip steps 2-4. Also make sure to grab the MP mission pack, which you can find in a sticky thread in the Multiplayer forum of this board.

Yeah! this is going to be cool. I used to play descent 2 . I love the freedom of zero-gravity flight simulation! Thanks for the info fellas. Be seeing you around..

I am still downloading. But I noticed the remark file out of date, is that going to be a problem? Are there updates that need to be applied? (see attachment).

no problem. You can just run the installer after your done and just update all the out-of-date files

yup. Just check "update installed sections only" the next time you run it.

You probably won't be using any of those files anyway. They're the retail versions of the game. If you only ever run FS2_Open you probably won't find much need for them.
