I used to have the interceptor look much better. One by one, all my missiles look worse.
The only 2 ones still looking decent are the Hornet and Stilleto

Maybe it's something to do with your using that particular screen resolution? Last I heard, there were still a few problems with using the non-standard resolutions.

There's only a few high-poly missiles in the Media VP's, as I recall, so when you've got model view turned on for weapon selection, you're going to see mostly the original, ultra-low-poly missiles.  When model view is turned off for weapon selection (or, when you're selecting primary weapons), you're seeing a prerendered animation, rather than an actual model, included with the game.

What we really need are Cyclops HTL models since you see a lot of them up close when flying intercept.

AFAIK, you don't.  Learn to model & create some HTL missiles & bombs for us!!
