The Babylon Project v3.4 Alternate Installer now available at Filefront!

This install will make installing to locations other than C Drive much easier. It installs everything you need to play The Bablyon Project.

File Size = 793.29 MB (yes it is roughly a 100mb smaller than the other installer, but not to worry everthing is there )

Got it... if anyone else has this, and is interested in helping seed a torrent (nod your head yes ), then don't delete the Installer file after installing; wait until Huggybaby or me posts here...  If you need help setting up bittorrent, then let me know.

EDIT: Huggybaby says it's not a good idea, as it will dilute the seeding base for the other version.

Thank you hip63 for doing this and recognizing that a lot of people, like me, are pedantics on where they want to put their stuff......

And to the TBP team in general, I have to say, very nice work.  The Raider wars missions are also a treat, considering the annoying "Spoo Ranch Shares Bought.  Spoo Ranch Shares Bought.  Error: Not enough money to buy Spoo Ranch Shares" mission.  AARGGHHH!!!!!

Filefront show this version of the TBP installer has passed the 200 downloads mark

I'm sure the download numbers for original installer from IP Adrews beats that number but hey still nice to see some folks wanted it

i can't download it, everytime i click on the "download now" button i get redirected to the filefront mainpage.

After you get the FileFront screen, click on the "Continue to FileFront.com" link, and it should show you the download.  If it doesn't, let me know.

Side note: I didn't know that HLPBB supported HTML tags!

I've checked and it looks like the file has been deleted (but yet the FreeSpace DVD is still there, weird)

I can re upload it but it won't be available until next week

If anybody else wish to uploaded it somewhere, that would be fine by me

Does anyone have a valid link for this installer. I downloaded it a while ago but just got around to trying it and I think its corrupt. The MD5 hash for the version on my hard disk is 9955e68302b0529950471397879350f7 but this errors with an invalid data message when installing a VP file. As my C drive is just a small swap partition the official installer isn't really an option at present

Does anyone have the correct, working version of this installer?  If so, then download QuickPar and make a few recovery files.  Then we'd just need to know the size of that .vp file.  Or, wait until this gets put back up.

The friend who's bandwidth I was (am) going to borrow has been down but will be back up soon so I hope to have the Alternate TBP Installer uploaded by this weekend.

I also plan to upload it to some sort of mirror site too.

I have also recompiled it to include all the B5 campaigns I could find

Hip can you do me a personal favour? And make yourself aquainted with Orpheus and Karajorma? I don't know if you've been reading the other threads but Orph is trying to iron out the few remaining niggly bugs with TBP. Helping him, I think, he has Kara who has a hand in the SCP and can maybe fix the game engine crashes that neutered the final release of TBP. When Orph has his missions and Kara has his updated game engine executables they'll need someone to create a pretty package...?
