well, even if you do your style of making lots of models and stopping there, i'm perfectly happy to UV and texture them.

perhaps we should set up a work pipeline to do it all in a more efficient and directed way.  you do have an amazing ability to just pump out ships.

I plan to map, them, but I have to finish learning. I kind of get hooked when I start modelling it, and the pictures were calling to me.

However, I'm no texture artist, so I'm pretty sure I can only give you mapped but untextured meshes. However, as you said, I can spit them out pretty fast. Starwars ships are lots of fun.

I'm just trying to find where all the damn turrets go on that thing...I've found the spots for about half of them, so I'm going to need to come up with the rest.

well, texturing is my specialty, i'll be happy to do it.

i just prefer to UVmap the models that i texture so that i dont have to ***** about the UVmaps when im texturing...

Dude! Lancer is probably my favourite SW ships, not for its design aesthetics so much (Nebulon B there), but more because of its arse kickiness against fighters. It's a SW Aeolus.

Having tried to build this ship in the past, I know what a pin it can be. Looks like you're doing a bloody good job, as per usual.

Edit:  Also, Truespace isn't necessary for modeling, and neither is purchasing the full version.  3.2 is available freely and still capable of making models.  There's also Blender, 3ds Max, Wings3d, Sketchup, Solid Modeling applications, etc...


but you most buy everything for modelling full version

Well, working or not, they're gonna have to be eventually, because that model HAS to make it into the game.
