Stupid (computer) memory question...
it's generally a bad idea to have different types of memory (say different CAS latency or different sized) on the same MoBo correct?

Re: Stupid (computer) memory question...
you can run different size memory just fine, but try to keep the latency and such the same.

Re: Stupid (computer) memory question...
It won't hurt anything besides your fast memory's performance... if a memory stick that has slower ratings is used with a faster one, the computer will use the speed of the slower one.  Everything will be just fine.
