What name generators? Nah.. my cousin is a Tolkien fan and a HUGE expert on elvish language so he translated it for me..or tried.

Lotion comes from Lotte = flower..

as for the last name. As I said, very difficult to find the root of it..as they are usually descriptve in origin..
So
STAN = home/apartment
ČIĆITI = an old arhaic juvenile form for sitting

the only other possible combination I can think of is STANIČ / ĆITI which would probable mean something like..."home, literate"

My cousin has it easy..his name MIROSLAV can be easily disected - MIR = PEACE, SLAVA = GLORY (alltough it could be LAV = LION)..thus Rainalkar..his lastname simply means wolf (or a specific subspecies of it), so it's quite simple for him

It should be Loton if I remember well...

The Anthurium is a flower. The Italian Antonio(my third name), the English Anthony and your...Toni come from "Anthurium".

I use the name Leron Anarloke in JRRT fan communities. Leron stands for Francis. Anar+loke...hehe

In an Italian JRRT site(there should be something in eldalie.ch, too) there's a list of Quenya names. It's much better. There's the etimology of most names and their translations.

Really? The only possible difference is between genders. The meaning is the same. A shorter form of a name is normally translated. Elvish words are short, how can you find abbreviations for them?

It's like having a several words for the same thing (allmost). Jsut subtle nuiances to tell the difference that this guys real name is Antonio and this ones is Tony...

AFAIK this is allowed...I should ask my cousin tough...he's a freakish expert on that subject. Wrote a guide to learning elvish..Talks to that guy...what's his name? Some great expert..sweedish fellow methinks..gah..can't remember
