Don't even joke about that. Don't even start on it. If you didn't notice, a similar thread (posted at the same time) was closed after someone came into a few million dollars and wanted to buy the rights. Needless to say, this community would be against it. If Interplay wants FS3, they'll let it be made. Hopefully they'll still ask to do it.

Well, the thread was just closed because it had become a spamfest. I don't think anyone was exactly against it, but the fact of the matter is that getting the license would do nothing for us in itself.

Let me rephrase what I said before... the only thing acquiring the Freespace license would do is put a legal and financial blockade on a FS3 and allow us to control distribution of the ISOs. We don't own the license as it is and we are still doing the latter regardless. Nobody has received a Cease and Desist Letter from Interplay or anybody else! Heck--:v: at a minimum knows we are doing this and have gave us a bit of under-the-table support. I'm just saying it's generally a bad idea if someone buys the license.
