I think it would be a nice idea, if it can rip the CD to its memory in MP3 or OGG format, so you don't have to have it on a table or whatnot... :p

EDIT: Forgot to mention; I made the image a hyperlink to an info / comment page on the player.

Fine, but is the gap open all the time? If it is, it'll be prone to dirt and stuff. Also, I wonder how durable they can make the hinge and when it starts to loosen up, what happens.

It would be good if it would allow you to choose the bitrate as well.

I mean the gap where the CD goes. Not the hinged parts being separated... :nervous:

I agree with you, in theory. In theory, communism works. In theory.

Even though the design seems quite intriguing, it looks like it would be extremely prone to mechanical failures, something I've despised for years now. I'd recommend something that has as little moving parts as possible, leaving the whole CD ripping part for computers.

cute, but i consider cds obsolete. i wish theyd move audio onto mini dvd, then we can bury the cd once and for all.
