Who will you vote for in 2008 election?
Since the topic of the 2008 election came up in the WWIII Bush thread, I'm just curious who you plan to (or would vote for) in the 2008 election?

My vote is for John Edwards, even if he is the underdog.

It's way too early to decide.  Even then I don't usually tell people who I vote for.

I'm canadian, so while my vote doesn't count, it would have to be for Stephen Colbert http://www.colbertnation.com/

....simply for the humour of watching him and the Harp have a serious discussion on anything....

Re: Who will you vote for in 2008 election?
Yeah, If Colbert was running for real instead of just South Carolina, I'd vote for him just because

I guess I better question would be, who are you planning on voting for in you're parties primaries?

Either Steven Colbert or Jon Stewart, not sure which.

I'm thinking of a write-in for Trogdor.  Somehow, given our recent activities it seems thematically appropriate.

Steven Colbert. That man can win a million hearts... or rather a billion laughs. I think it would be funny if he ended up as president because everyone else just got too annoying.

Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.

Re: Who will you vote for in 2008 election?
Yeah, if I could Vote for Colbert I would, but isn't he only running in the South Carolina primary?  I live in Pennsylvania.

I honestly believe that a Stewart-Colbert ticket would actually get a significant portion of the votes.  Maybe not enough to win the election, but I think you get record turnouts for voters in the 18-30 year old range.

Re: Who will you vote for in 2008 election?
Stewart and Colbert--two comedians (The Daily Show and the Colbert Report).

I seriously wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of 18-30 people go out to vote for Colbert. Even 15% of the votes as an independent would be earth-shattering. I'd personally like to see them win--they'd do this country good after Clinton screwed and Bush screwed up.

Stephen.

No, I meant a Presidential ticket of Jon Stewart-Stephen Colbert.

If they got 15% of the vote that would really send a message to the rest of America that the young people of today are really fed up with the government

Re: Who will you vote for in 2008 election?
15% first time... 30% second time... 50% third time... I'd vote for them in 2012 (since I'll be 18 at the end of 2008, but the election is a month before I'm 18).
