Where do I put the *.pcx textures for the nebula backgrounds that I've downloaded ?  I downloaded the Milliway nebulae for FRED 2.  I'm thinking of making a campaign that takes place in a lot of "uncharted" systems (the GTCv Infinion's (old Deimos-class corvette-turned-science ship) journey will begin at a Knossos portal just outside the political boundary of the Ikeya system, but still within the limits of the star's gravity.  Barely.  I might post a thread with my idea and my notes (I always write notes to myself about this stuff before I start), including a subspace node map.), and I want to use a lot of Singh's backgrounds (You are an artist, man !).

Unless I am entirely mistaken, they go into data/effects... but you'll also need to add them into stars.tbl. It's really simple, just one line of code per .pcx file. Just keep in mind that stars.tbl has a limit.

There is a VP version of the nebulae which you can just stick in your mediavps folder and be done with it. I can never remember where you get it from though.

and never ever use pcx nebulas if there is a dds version available as well

Okay, thanks.  I thought they went in /data/effects, but I wasn't sure.  What I downloaded came with the .tbl.
