Jeez, it's been more than 6 months. Circumstances conspired to keep me away, and I also just had to take a little break.

So, what did I miss?

Surprisingly nothing.  There hasn't been a whole lot going on here over the past few months. 

You could check the highlights to see any of the new FS-related stuff, but as for General Discussion zainy-ness and crazy-ity, nothing.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

I assume that statues have by now been erected in to commemorate the terrible loss that my absence has caused. How many statues exactly, and of what material? I'm fine with bronze or solid gold, but marble tends to be cheap and crumble easily.

No statues, unfortunately. The only lasting mark you left was the incredible amount of confetti and streamers spread everywhere the day after you disappeared.

In other words, normal maps are slowly making an appearance. Go to "Recent Builds", find the latest of Taylor's XT builds and download the Limited Edition normalmap-pack to make some of the ships have normal maps.

Oh, and Darius released a new campaign/mod called Blue Planet, which had a good reception. And Beyond the Red Line Demo was patched. Aside from that I can't think of much else. Welcome back (I wonder if someone will now change Sarafan's user title? :lol:)!
