I still think the Saga Capships are way to dangerous. That Carnaven Frigade in Prologue Mission 2 for example is more dangerous than all of the pirate fighters and my torpedo doesn't even knock it out.
Looks like your torpedo was shot down right before or on impact.
Balancing changes include:
- AI missile usage
- hull and shield hit points on capital ships. Hulls have become more vulnerable and shields more durable.
- species_def.tbl upgrade (replaces 'Vasudan' with 'Pirate', 'Shivan' with 'Kilrathi')
- several small tweaks including color change of radar dots (friendlies are now blue, just like in Wing Commander)
Bugfixes changes include
- autopilot upgrade
- full usage of DDS advantages
- hard coded death screams
- more taunts
- several smaller issues, that you have not noticed in the initial release.

We will also include optimized effects (require less memory), additional voice overs, normal maps (for fighters at the very least!) and, probably, at least one new ship.
