What happened to Into the Depths of Hell? The last update on the site says chapter 5 is about done an that was from '05.  Is the campaign dead?

Nah, Noise I believe is out of touch for a while. He actually said, I think, that Chapter 5 was finished and he hadn't had a chance to upload it when last he posted.

Have faith, he (and ITDOH) will be back.

(And don't check his website for updates. All the recent information comes from his posts in threads like "ITDOH News").

Noise is over seas and away from his PC. He told me that ATM he can do very little work on the campaign, but he is whenever he gets a chance.

I'd love to tell you guys that I'll be back in the real world soon, but the Taliban keeps on breaking the stuff that I fix, so for the mean time all I can say is that if you're really keen on getting some of the Ch 5 flavour, I believe the part called "The Hammer Falls" is floating around here somewhere.  Ask around, you'll find it.

Okay, I've downloaded the file from rapidshare and put the VP file into it's own folder etc etc etc, but I'm having problems.

Basically, when I try to start the campaign - and this is in retail or SCP versions - the window closes and it says that it can't read a certain model, (of a bomber unique to this story, I assume), and the same is true when I try to take a look at the "GTD Eternity" in the Tech room.

Am I missing some specific models that I need to download, because I've never had problems with the loading of in-game models in the previous chapters.

You're sure it's able to load things from the previous chapters? What have you done to make sure that happens?

Well, to be honest Dark hunter, I haven't made sure of that because it's never seemed to have needed it, or it's done it and I've not had to do anything.

How would I go about making sure it loads things from previous chapters?

I suppose you could just punch all the ITDOH chapter vps into the same folder, since they probably don't all have different ship and weapon tables attempting to cause conflicts. And at least in that case they would all get used for sure.

Well, while putting them all into one file solved the GTD Eternity problem, the problem of this missing bomber still remains.


Here is what the message says when I try to start the campaign and the game crashes, in case that helps:

Hmm... I think that was one of the models I forgot to add when I SCP-ified this chapter. I corrected it later, but maybe you have the older version.

I'll hunt down the corrected version and see if that fixes it.
