Hello, I would like to know if plans are made to "convert" the old "tales of the janus" campaign for babylon 5 to work for the newest releases of TBP? B5 campaigns are quite seldom compared to other projects here (no offense meant, as the campaigns are yet very well done), It would be good to prevent this campaign from dying. It was compatible with release 1 I think.

there was a patch to make it playable with R2, but now...

  • Thing, man like
Trying to grasp the thought of all the changes, so...

I have 2 questions.
(1) How much difference is there between that old release, and the present release?

(2) What would need to be done to make it playable with 3.4?

Simpicity of character is the natural resualt of profound thought

1) Practically everything has changed from ship and weapon names to gameplay balance.

2) Run each mission with the debug build. This will identify all the problems relating to changes in ship and weapon names. Rectify those by editting the mission files in notepad and replacing the old names with the new ones. Once the mission is finally loading without error, test the mission functionality to ensure it still works as it should and the difficulty balance is still correct. Then finally ask yourself if you want to improve the campaign by making use of the new features that weren't around when it was originally created.

Thanks for proposing anyway. One day, perhaps...
