Why the 'Perpetual Noob' title? He seems to be fairly level-headed and productive.

I'm just curious.

When he first joined, or when HLP was in its more... 'Volatile' years, Cobra was a spammer or something. I don't get why he still has his title though, and why takashi got the title "Worse than Cobra."

A title is sort of like a nickname, It often reflects one single act that personifies that poster, those of us who saw the arrival of Cobra know exactly what the title means, as does Cobra, but since then he's matured massively.

As Rictor says, it's more a term of endearment these days, I don't think of Cobra as a noob any more, but I think it'll be a while before he outlives the sheer volume of noobness when he was

What I fail to see is how over-enthusiastic and slightly annoying people like takashi get banned while mother****ers like fs2freak88 don't.

I fail to see how he was able to do that but not get banned. takashi didn't do anything that was anywhere near that offensive and he got IP banned. HLP must have been a lot more lenient back then.

As far as I'm aware, he's banned, and Tak was only temp-banned.

Well in his last thread he was put in the "voiceless" usergroup and then let free again. And I'm pretty sure taka was IP banned....

Taka was IP banned, but he was also causing trouble on both HLP and GW (where he was similarly banned IIRC). Cobra wasn't banned to my knowledge, however - he was temp banned awhile back, but I think he's still allowed on nowadays.

HLP was a lot more lenient back in those days. It's because the admins got sick of the idiocy back then that people tend to get banned for less severe idiocy now.
