De Nominibus Stellarum
What do you think about the changes I made? Do you know where I can find the meanings of Arabian(Arabic?!?) names? I completely forgot the meaning of Altair and Aldebaran, for example.

Well either using google's def: option or then surprisingly... wikipedia.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altair

I think those additions are ok. They could be useful to campaign makers for example.

Ok, thanks...I only hope that the Wiki is reliable, I read many different forms in sites and books.

Should I mention Chinese names? They're not used in FS.

It's still potentially useful information, so I see no reason to keep them out if you want to add them.

Most canon stars are done. What about un-canon ones?

Re: De Nominibus Stellarum
Thanks for the linguistics lessons, Mobius. There are some non-canon systems in the Wiki, although I think that there's only Talania, Tau Sigma and Tania Australis right now. So it'd be cool with me if you added name information for them too.

Re: De Nominibus Stellarum
I was refering to all systems, even the ones not necessarily involved with the main FS1 and FS2 campaigns.

Re: De Nominibus Stellarum
Tau Sigma is from Derelict and is NOT canon.

To elaborate: the name Tau Sigma would imply that it was the (whatever letter Tau is in the Greek alphabet)th brightest star in the constellation Sigma. First, there is no constellation Sigma. Second, if there were, it would be Tau Sigmi.

Also, Mobius---about the latin---it's kind of getting annoying.
