Funny enough there was a news story i saw just recently showing that chimps have a much higher i guess you would call it sequence/memory skills then humans.   They basically had to punch through a set of random number sequences on a touch screen that they were shown a brief glance of...  i think this is an article on it:

Though on the mind control part, imagine the possibilities for the disabled.  If they could control artificial limbs with thier minds that would propably be a pretty large boon to them.   Course the military would probably nab it for Firefox first

I think, and my thoughts cross the barrier into the synapses of the machine, just as the good doctor intended. But what I cannot shake, and what hints at things to come, is that thoughts cross back. In my dreams, the sensibility of the machine invades the periphery of my consciousness: dark, rigid, cold, alien. Evolution is at work here, but just what is evolving remains to be seen.

I was just speculating as to why they only showed the cg monkey. I don't really give a **** about animals. especially when they stand between humans and advancement.
