EDIT:  Haven't had time to make any new codes.  Been busy with university.  But I do have an idea for a good riddle that I will be posting soon.

I doubt it. As far as the Iraq war goes, he's more or less left his predecessor with an untenable choice. They can either stay in, or watch everything go to ****.

If they stay in, Bush is justified. If they pull out and everything goes to ****, Bush is vindicated.

But at the very least, the blame will be shifted some to somebody else, and Bush will be free to go on his way, having set the ball rolling to a point that the next president can't reverse Bush's plans.

Declaring martial law at this point would only set him up for open opposition.

I don't understand why Hillary Clinton inspires such fervent hostility. I mean, I know why I dislike her, but I'm an actual liberal, so to me she's just another American Conservative Lite^TM. I would think that anyone who's voting Republican would find her to be the most paletable of the Democrats.

because they think all of her conservative qualities are just made up to make her seem like a centrist, and the first thing she is going to do is raise taxes and install a national health care system.

If the government feels the pain of the outrageous costs of our healthcare system, there would be much more incentive for them to actually do something about it. Of course that does mean pfizer wont be able to make their $9 billion in quarterly profits, but I would think that would be a small price to pay.

I have not really researched the election at all...I've been to a rally for Barack Obama and caught the occasional new story, but that's about it. But I really don't like Hilary Clinton so far. She seems to be capitalizing on her status as (A) a celebrity because of her relationship with a former president (B) her sex and (C) she's not associated with Bush.

Obama, on the other hand, seems to be more of an idealist.

While both of them seem to be playing the 'minority' card (ie non-white-male president) and capitalizing on the discontent with Bush to do some social activism, Hilary seems to be acting in her own self-interest, Obama seems to be supporting the things he does because he believes it's right. I dunno, it's a subtle difference, and it's not based on concrete policies or anything, just the impression I get when they speak. I could totally change my opinion when I start seriously reviewing what they actually stand for and plan to do.

And I know people (not my closest friends) who say that they don't like this political candidate or other because they remind them of their mean 2nd grade teacher...so I can imagine why people would dislike Hilary even if she is closer to the region that most all Americans inhabit.

Lack of charisma, among other things. In most cases that's as deep as it goes, but it'd make her less effective in office.
