It's one thing not to watch Star Wars but R2-D2's name is basically part of pop-culture now (same as the Daleks are over here). Even people who would never watch the films know what R2-D2 is. It's like having no idea who Captain Kirk or Spock are.

I'm from down under, that's my favourite show!(doctor who is, not star treck)! But i only have seen the new color ones with actual special effects (that apparently are the opposite of special), i haven't got to see any others.

Okay if your in a america, i'd understand that you wouldn't know 2 bob about the rest of the world, but if you were in england or something, like, everyone would no who doctor who is (who?)
